By now, chances are you now about Rock the Red Pump. It is a national campaign to raise awareness in the effects of HIV/AIDS in women and girls.
I cannot say how important this is, but how about this:
Get tested. You already did? When?
You practice safe sex? Get tested.
Can't afford it? Free clinics are your friends. OR, better yet: put a stay on your makeup budget for the month. Get tested.
Make it a women's evening out and grab all your amigas and get tested as a group. A friend of mine back in college days made us all go with her to appease her panic. We were all clean. Get tested.
Silence does not help anyone. Get tested.
Pretending everything is just OK if I ignore it does not help anyone. Get tested.
If you were a victim of domestic or sexual violence, Get tested.
If you were not, Get tested.
GET TESTED.
GET TESTED.
GET TESTED.
GET TESTED.
GET TESTED.
GET TESTED.
GET TESTED.
GET TESTED.
GET TESTED.
GET TESTED.
GET TESTED.
GET TESTED.
GET TESTED.
Our lives are worth it. GET TESTED.
Siempre, Bella.
Kudos Hermana! This is such an important issue. I guess I last got tested 18-24 mos ago. I suppose it's time to do it again. Even though I have only been w/ my husband and I know he's tested negative, it never hurts to check it again. Thank you for posting this.
